Nigerian wives and mothers living in the United Kingdom has been advised to stop throwing their husbands out of the home.
This came during a church service at the Divine Restoration church Hanworth House Camberwell, London
A police officer, cautioned the women to stop getting the police involved in family disputes and quarrels, which more often than not lead to their husband been thrown out of the home, emphasizing the importance of fatherly involvement in raising children.
The event stated that more than 70% of women of Nigerian origin in England, Wales and Ireland use the threat of police intervention to get their husbands thrown out to secure the children welfare claims.
In another remark, an officer warned the women to steer clear of knife attacks, which is on the increase these days among African diaspora communities. He called for the active participation of both parents in parenting and child upbringing.
