The President of the Nigeria Labor congress, Comrade Joe Ajero, has been released by the Department Of State Service DSS on bail, by 11pm.
His arrest has received litany of condemnations as no offence was disclosed to justify the arrest.
The news of his release was confirmed by the Assistant Secretary of the NLC, Mr. Chris Onyeka.
The NLC and its counterpart the Trade Union congress TUC, has asked the Federal Government to release Ajero unconditionally by mid-night latest.
Amnesty International, a global Rights Group also condemned the areest and detention of Ajero and said that President Tinubu was setting a new record of impunity.
Joe Ajero was arrested yesterday, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Abuja, and stopped from boarding a flight to the United Kingdom to attend an International TUC conference.
