Big Brother Naija Season 4 winner, Mercy Eke, recently spoke about her experience with a Brazilian Butt Lift surgery she underwent in 2018. In an interview on the “Love is a Game” show by Kenes Gloww on YouTube, Eke explained that she chose to undergo the procedure due to its popularity and the influence of her peers, despite already having a slim figure.
Eke shared, “Honestly, it was initially because it was trendy. I had my surgery in 2018. I think at the time, it was more about following the trend and peer pressure; everyone was doing it. I had a nice, slim figure, but my stomach was a bit too much.
She admitted to being nervous about the surgery and chose not to inform her mother to avoid any discouragement. Eke and two friends coordinated and paid for the procedure together. She also confessed that she didn’t research her doctor or consider the risks involved, attributing this to ignorance. However, Eke emphasized that she would conduct thorough research and ask the right questions if she ever decided to have another procedure in the future.
During the interview, Eke also addressed rumors regarding her facial features, clarifying that she had only gotten lip fillers, which dissolve after three months. “People often say I’ve had work done on my face, so I post old photos to show them,” she stated. “I’ve only had fillers in my lips, which dissolve after three months, and I think people need to understand that fillers are not the same as liposuction.”
Meanwhile, there are reports that the Lagos State Police Command has declared a doctor named Idara Bassey wanted in connection with the death of a 36-year-old woman, identified as Abiola, who died during a buttocks enlargement procedure at a clinic in Lekki Phase 1. The woman allegedly passed away after a nurse, reportedly acting under Bassey’s orders, administered an injection.
