President Ahmed Bola Tinubu has sworn in Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the substantive Chief Judge of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The event which was held at the council chambers of Aso Rock Presidential Villa, follows her confirmation by the Senate last week.
Justice Kudirat has been in acting capacity since August this year, following the retirement of her predecessor, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.
Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun is the 23rd CJN and also second woman to hold this office in Nigeria.
